comment:
deed was composed in Visby for "The Pearls Before Swine Experience". The piece is shaped and composed after an "extended palindrome principle" (as in it´s title; "deed", in swedish "dåd"). The flute introduction/prologue is named "insinuations", and together with the older piece "reverberations" they have a three-part thematic connection.
deed was made out of an electroacoustic piece made by recordings of the Pearls Before Swine Experience. Though a completely acoustic piece, it was performed at EMS:s (Electro acoustic Music Sweden) 40-years´ celebration.

rewiews:

-Tony Lundman, Svenska Dagbladet 8/10 2004

- Johanna Paulsson, Dagens Nyheter, 10/12 2004

"he took a consert that we played on the radio a couple of years ago and recorded it. And he did not sell it as a bootleg. What he did instead was he took the material from that consert and made an electro acoustic piece from our consert. And then he took his piece and tried to write it so that we could play it. So... it´s like us playing an electro acoustic version of ourselves in consert..."

"...so now, were gonna do de deed..."
-George Kentros (spoken)
